BURN-IN Production Tester (4 stations)
The purpose of LVPS BURN-IN tester is to perform power tests on all 3 types of LVPS DC/DC switching power supply modules called bricks (3.3V, 5V, 15V) of versions v.6.4 and v6.5 with variable current loads and Vout trimming. When bricks pass this test, they can be employed in ATLAS TileCal LVBOXes. Four BURN-IN stations have been manufactured. In each station 8 bricks can be independently tested for 1-100 hours in automated way. Four BURN-IN tester were manufactured (No1.-No4) to reach a maximum speed of 64 tested bricks per day. The tester applies 200Vdc independently on eight mounted dc/dc bricks, and associated programmed dummy-loads consume dc currents from bricks. All brick behavior and parameters are measured and stored in TXT reports It was designed to perform long term endurance functionality of each LVPS Brick manufactured in 2700 pcs. Labview Control Program Time includes for each brick: - First Switch-ON phase of the brick @ 160V and 200Vdc, with minimum Vout (Iload current 0.5A) - Vout Trimming Range test and check at three Iout levels 3V brick Vo_Min Vo_Max Iload = 0.5, 2, and 5 A 5V 2, 5, and 10A 15V 0.5, 2, and 5 A - DC/DC Brick Efficiency Measurements, at Vout nominal, Iout range 0.5 - 20Amp (3V,5V bricks) - 0.5 - 12A (15V) - Long term stability run at Vout nominal and Iout (1h up to 100 hours, set in Labview program menu) 3V brick Iload = 11 A (can be changed, set in menu) 5V 14 A 15V 4 A
