Low Voltage Power Supply Project

Water Cooling Station KRA70

Fig.1.                                    Fig.2.                            Fig.3.                   Fig.4. water level check

Water cooling station is used to cool down working LVPS bricks that are tested on BURNIN test-benche,
and lead away the heat from LVBOXes during their QA procedure. KRA70 has a 7kW cooling capacity,
it is more than sufficient to cool down four running BURNIN testers and four LVBOXes at full power.

Purchased from CERCLIM in May 2005 . Now installed in bld. 175/CERN.

KRA70 Cooling Station Maintenance:
1. Use only pure distilled water to be filled in the KRA70 reservoir and in the closed water circuit.
Water temperature is stabilized within the range of 17-19 degrees of Celsius.
2. Verify the level of water in the reservoir (backside glass window, see Fig.4.) once per week
when in operation. The water level should be seen.
3. It is recommended to switch off KRA70 during long (Christmas) holidays.
The warranty of the pump (T65) is only 1 year, predicted lifetime is about max 20k hours.
4. In case of water leak, pump failure, or general failure (red light indicator) call CERCLIM company,
   or EURODIFROID.
